About Verdure Bay
Nearly 15 years ago, while leading clinical operations for a large global pharmaceutical company, Dave Lucey observed first-hand the depth and magnitude of contract services utilization. And over the years since then, the dependence of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) has only grown. A significant driver for outsourcing is access to specialized technologies or therapeutic expertise, though it’s notable that among the top reasons for sponsor dissatisfaction are the provider’s lack of performance or quality.
Dave realized that for the more virtual drug/device/diagnostic developer, whose core competencies are built around science, a void may present itself in one or more functional areas. An opportunity emerged while considering his rapidly and organically growing network of very experienced industry professionals. Dave knew that leveraging the skill of high-functioning professionals with known track records for performance could satisfy a critical need for expertise.
Verdure Bay was established in 2013 with two primary objectives in mind: 1) provide seasoned operations experts for the purpose of CRO oversight, and 2) fulfill the flexible resource needs of virtual product developers. Today, Verdure Bay offers expertise across multiple functional and therapeutic areas, and serves as an extension of your professional network. Product developers of all shapes and sizes, including non-profit organizations, now utilize the model to fulfill their goals.
